About Me

Back when my kids were small, if asked what I liked to do as a hobby or in my “leisure time” I would say, “I like to sit quietly and think.” I didn’t get to do that much for quite a few years. But as the kids get older and I’m in a job/career/calling where I have many fewer interruptions, I finally get to sit quietly and think!

This blog is my thinking in writing. I don’t feel like writing all the time or every day, but when something is on my mind (usually causing me stress!) I will write about it here. At the very least, that’s useful to me. If it could be useful to others, I hope those who could benefit find their way to these writings.

I struggle with being a wife and mother, a daughter and a friend. I struggle to bring the love of God to children (and their families…and everyone else…) in the position of Children, Youth and Families Minister at a small church. And I guess I’m glad to struggle, even if it’s not comfortable or easy. The struggle has yielded wonderful things, through hills and valleys, so far.
